Sure miss the exuberance and the happy go lucky attitude and personality of my Uncle Leo Still remember when he visited my place in Coaldale, Alberta and we listened to German Schlager music and videos. He was in his element. He and his wife, My Aunt Erna, were very hard dedicated workers. I still remember the hard times they had in Marquette whenever our family went to visit. Aunt Erna was very much the same in appearance as my Mother Gertrude, who was a sister to Aunt Erna. With loving memories to all three and now with Bill passing on, I wish the families All the best. With deepest sympathy to you Shelley, Brennan, Karen, Anita, and Debbie. Still miss my parents, Benjamim and Gertrude Matis, so I know the going is not going to be easy. I use to work for Animal Diseases Research Institute in Lethbridge, Alberta, and I know what a mad cow can do when you get to close to her Calf. We were working on Brucelosis and I had to collect colostrum and blood samples from the cow and calf. There were a lot of times I barely made it to the top of the corral fence in order of avoiding being trampled to death like my Uncle Leo. It makes me so sad whenever I think of his last day on earth. God bless you all Herb and Helga Matis - Posted by: Herb Matis (Leo was mu Uncle) on: Mar 08, 2023
